Genmab — Januar 2024
-
-
I would say there is a good chance you could strip Dara out of the company and sell the royalty stream back to JNJ, at a price that could potentially be beneficial to both JNJ and an acquirer that is not interested in a low risk/low upside royalty stream. and include the rights to HexaCD38
-
Would make sense - but can you imagine Jan letting go of the proceeds? Easier to squeeze blood from a stone…
-
E L, do you mean that the full rights to Hexa could be acquired by a third party?
-

I know I’m a bit of a downer, but GEN has provided plenty of bitter seeds lately - why the fu€%#€%ing h#”€%€&ll has GEN hoarded so much cash - and still entered into a 50/50 agreement with abbvie on Epco?
-
It seems GEN has spent loads of money on building a commercial organization anyway - so we get both the cost and the downside of reduced ownership
-
50/50 or similar makes sense to me as all the money in the world can't buy you the expertise of selling and distributing (at least not immediately). I don't think the commercial organisation is mature enough (yet) to get the full benefit out of EPCO.
-
Maybe they are planning different percentages for the next ones, and that is why they are ramping up.
-
@el - what you are describing seems like a very complex transaction. In Actelion they did something similar - but the difference is in Actelion, the company had retained the commercial rights
-
That was for EL…
-
Plimsoller - if GEN does not intend to use the money for development - why keep it?
-
@Plimsoller everything can be sold, for the right price
-but again, certainly don't see Genmab going that way -
Seems very complicated - and a very round about way to juggle usd 15 - 20 billion
