Not long ago it was published in some MS-news that Ocrevus might have this issue with loss of vaccinal immunity. I assume that's why Novartis wants to find out whether that goes for ofa as well. Would not be good. Especially if it is also an issue with the corona vaccines.

It is an issue. We can hope that the way Kesimpta is administered and dose will have less B cell depletion and faster recovery in the case of a pause in treatment; if that is the case Kesimpta would be the preferred drug vs Ocrevus

i am sure Novartis is getting a lot of questions about this at the moment and I see the trial above just as much in the light of the covid vaccine as the influenze (as i guess you do)

anyone following Novo know more about that new company? Will Mim8 move there for example? Will the Duobody licence move there fully, or will Novo nordisk still have access?

I wonder if it is an issue with weakened virus vaccines only, and not with those based on mRNA?

I can't answer that i am afraid...and i doubt Novartis will be able to do any trials on these vaccines until things settle down and vaccines will be widely available, I think we'll have to do with the influenza as substitute for now...
