Iflg. en deltager på GF her den 23. maj, så skulle Missling direkte spurgt ad af denne, have udtalt, at 2-73 reelt er patentbeskyttet frem til 2039 - dvs. kommer 2-73 på markedet i 2024, så har Anavex 15 gode år før kopiproduktionen sætter ind.
Nå - men lad os nu bare få nogle data i første omgang og få skidtet på markedet først i et eller andet.Iflg. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04304482, så skulle alle data nu være indsamlet og låst fra RETT fase 3 børne forsøget her den 1. juni 2023.

Det kunne dog være positivt med en PR på dette og evt. en udmelding om, hvor mange af de 92 piger der er forsat i OLE-forsøget. Kunne jo indikerer lidt om effekten og bivirkningsprofilen af 2-73.Iflg. ST, så er det også sidste frist i dag, hvis Anavex skal godkendes til en evt. late breaking på AAIC i Holland i midten af juli 2023 - tvivler dog på, at Peer Reviewen bliver klar.
RETT fase 3 børn eller AD fase 2/3 - hvad kommer først?Inden da kan jeg ikke se noget til hindre for, at de nu kan starte nogle af de andre lovede forsøg op.

Neurorestorative Effects of a Sigma-1 Receptor Agonist in a Model of Parkinson’s Disease
Study Rationale: In a previous MJFF-sponsored project, we evaluated PRE-084 (an experimental compound binding to the sigma-1 receptor) in pre-clinical models of Parkinson’s disease. Chronic treatment with PRE-084 produced a gradual improvement of motor deficits and activated molecules involved in brain repair. In this project, we will evaluate a sigma-1 receptor agonist (ANAVEX2-73) produced by Anavex, which is now being evaluated in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. In our experimental study, the efficacy of ANAVEX2-73 on Parkinson’s biology will be compared to that of PRE-084 and other Sig-1R ligands.Hypothesis:The overarching aims of the study are to find a dose of ANAVEX2-73 producing a pattern of neurorestorative effects comparable to that of PRE-084 and to translate this dose into an equivalent dose for human use. Study Design:We will test the biological activity of ANAVEX2-73 in pre-clinical models and compare to PRE-084, previously shown to promote recovery of forelimb use, up-regulation of trophic factors and anti-inflammatory effects in the brain in this model. We will assess target engagement by measuring the ability of the tested compounds to prevent a radioactive ligand from binding to brain sigma-1 receptors. Impact on Diagnosis/Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease: The present study holds potential to impact the way Parkinson’s disease is treated. We aim to develop a new pharmacological approach to boost repair mechanisms and dampen inflammation in the part of the brain that is most affected by Parkinson’s. If this treatment exerts the expected effects, it could slow the progression of the disease. Next Steps for Development:If successful, this study will accelerate the translation of pre-clinical findings into the first clinical trial of ANAVEX2-73 as a potential disease-modifying therapy for Parkinson’s disease. ANAVEX2-73 has already been tested for safety and tolerability in humans with positive results.

Anavex Ja kan godt se nu, at der ingen dato er på MJFF - det er de faktisk rigtig dårlige til at angive - så dette kan meget vel være af ældre dato?

Patentudløb truer flere BP`er - løsningen er iflg. artiklen opkøb af biotekselskaber med en lovende pipeline - og især af den type, som Anavex repræsenterer med oral og lille molekylestruktur.

Iflg Missling var der stor interesse for partneraftaler med Anavex, men når BP nu har pengepungen helt fyldt op til bristepunktet, så ville de nok helst bare købe Anavex - hvis data i AD og måske også RETT er så overbevisende, som jeg mener er stillet os i udsigt.
Så med gode data, kan tingene gå rigtig hurtigt - er overbevist om, at Anavex er langt henne i evt. udformning af partneraftaler - dog betinget af at skidtet virker!- Selvom "hurtigt" normalt ikke er et udtryk vi kan forbinde med Anavex:)
