Det studie som E L linkede til i går aftes er i MM og har ikke noget at gøre med dara i solide. Det blev suspenderet i marts 2017 pga problemer med imids og CPI og ikke med dara og genåbnet januar 2018. Checkmatestudierne i solide kører ufortrødent.

yes, that is my gut feel also, the board feels it is better to invest the cash for now. But maybe in a year or 2?

maybe a stupid question, but imagine, in a few years time, IF Dara is found to work in solids; will that allow JNJ to ask a renewed patent for application in solid (and thus a longer time as the current patent life in MM?)

I guess you have to make the distinction between market and patent protection

the patent is valid from the point it is granted - and that has nothing to do with the indication. FDA can grant orphan drug status and give you market protection

But solids will be followed with sc dara and patent protection will be around 2033-2035 so they could get on the marked for some years at least

ok, clear. yes, i know Jan said that. At the same time i feel we never got a very good explanation of what really were the issues in those trials; it left me feeling that possibly with other combinations results could be different. But probably pure fiction pure fiction in my head...
