Den tidligere chef for Siemens Wind Power og nuværende chef for Repower, tyskeren Andreas Nauen, venter, at det amerikanske vindmøllemarked vil skrumpe til 11 gigawatt (GW) for 2013 og 2014 kombineret. Det fortalte han til branchemediet Recharge under en industrimesse i Hannover.
