There is not that much cd38 on solid tumors. The reason why dara was thought to be effective in solids was that it could strengthen the efficacy of a PD(L)-1 inhibitor by blocking cd38. I don't know if a boosted cd38 would be of any help here. But I think we need Sukkeralf on this subject.

If I remember correctly Jans first thoughts of new INDs for 2019 was 3-5 and recently it was 3 (and we know them all) but maybe HexaCD38 could have been close so I hope it will be a 2020 IND

I´ll welcome almost any kind of deals, also, this deal, but it does seem rather far away from what Jan has been talking about. This is a techdeal with a product, this should have been paid upfront and/or on 50/50 basis. But any hole in the no-deal-wall is welcome to me.

I am actually very excited about this deal- Dara is the backbone of this company and Genmab is looking to strengthen and extend that backbone. Extremely important and a sign of mature management with a long term view imo. I really like Sukkeralf's term 'life cycle management' in this respect.

To me the agreement is still like Genmab asking Janssens for a deal - not a move from Janssens.

when sc dosing of CD38 it should be secured until 2033-35...........a with all the alternatives Janssen is doing right now I agree with Solsen that Genmab has pushed this foreward and Janssen at last agree to "show us what it can do"

POC kan være defineret lidt forskelligt. Men cost bør ikke opverstige 200 mio, og det over de næste 3-4 år. Så det beløb betyder i sig selv ikke noget for genmab. De har også sagt det ikke ændre på forventningerne

det er gratis for jansen at lave denne aftale, og de sikre sig endda at Genmab ikke må sætte den op som direkte konkurrent til dara, såfremt jannsen skulle undlade at udnytte optionen

Should Janssen not exercise its option, the terms of the agreement allow Genmab to continue to develop and commercialize HexaBody-CD38 for DARZALEX-resistant patients, and in all other indications except those multiple myeloma or amyloidosis indications where DARZALEX is either approved or is being actively developed.
