Indeed, Celgene made it a point at ASH to emphasise the speed at which the company and bluebird will be moving bb2121 forward. A pivotal trial (KarMMa) in late-stage patients will treat an initial patient this month, and the partners plan to start a Phase III trial next year in the third-line setting while simultaneously evaluating the product even further upstream, with a goal of moving into newly diagnosed patients
