"The current outbreak started around Anzac Day in Melbourne, so it's been running for a couple of months now. Victoria's up at 50 cases currently, and then there's also been a significant number in Brisbane and then a few cases in Adelaide and in Sydney also."

Det er selvfølge "nemmere" blot at skulle vaccinere 1 gang med freeze dried, men metoden (bifurcaated needle) er = ACAM + omstændeligt ift sprøjte. Sammenligning af de 3 typer mpox- vacciner fra 2022 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9500691/ Kan forstå behovet for et alternativ, hvis akut behov opstår, men en begrundet vaccine-skepsis i mange afrikanske lande vil muligvis øges, hvis vaccine, der ikke anbefales / anvendes i vestlige lande, nu erklæres "god nok" til afrika...

KØBENHAVN, Danmark, 28. juni 2024 – Bavarian Nordic A/S (OMX: BAVA) bidrager nu yderligere til indsatsen for at hjælpe med at bekæmpe det nuværende mpox-udbrud i Afrika. Selskabets MVA-BN-vaccine, den eneste FDA- og EMA-godkendte mpox-vaccine, som udgjorde et vigtigt redskab under mpox-udbruddet i 2022-2023, kan snart også blive tilgængelig i DR Congo (DRC) og andre afrikanske lande.
