Oil Tankers:
Oil Tankers: VLCC spot rates continued to swing wildly, and this weekend’s OPEC+ meetings were the major events. With supply cut agreements in place, Oil Tankers are completely reliant on the contango in oil prices and storage economics to maintain anything close to current earnings. LNG Carriers: LNG Carrier spot rates posted losses this week amidst an ever-tightening regional price differential for natural gas. MEGI/XDFs -5% w/w to $53k/d, TFDEs -9% w/w to $43k/d and Steam Turbines -13% w/w to $28k/d.

Dry Bulk Shipping: Average dry bulk earnings rose 3% last week, with Capesizes leading the way posting 14% gains. Spot rates rose in the Atlantic, indicating that the extremely low Brazilian iron ore export YTD finally is moving towards more normal levels.
