Not in Danish, but what i understand is that, In their findings they suggest there is evidence to suggest that strategies targeting both CD38 and PD‐L1/PD‐1 could work , in MM.

Note that there are already ongoing trials like that, eg Dara and Nivolumab, so i don’t immediately see the news value in that

they suggest new mechanisms of action of Dara;
a) Depletion of plasmacytoid dendritic cells; this should slow / inhibit tumour growth

b) prevention of PD‐L1 expression upregulation on immune cells; If i understand correctly, upregulation of PD-L1 may allow cancers to evade the host immune system. So they think Dara can prevent that from happening

Plimsoller..We must remember that the failed attempt in solid was a combination. Dara may work as intended, but the other drugs can have powerful side effects.

According to Winkel there will be no new attempt with dara in solids, before we've seen what isatuximab comes up with in solids. Then maybe a new trial with dara sc and less or no dex.

Sidst sagde han således: vi afventer ivrigt de kliniske data fra den igangværende undersøgelse (Isatuximab in combination with Atezolizumab in a number of solid tumors) før vi bestemmer de næste trin for Dara i potentiel behandling af faste kræftformer. Altså underforstået at man overvejer at starte op igen.
