Syntes at sidste sætning i 1. afsnit antyder at GEN reelt ikke har kunne bruge HBCD38 selv pga restriktioner i DAR aftalen med JNJ, derfor denne gratis aftale. JNJ siger "vis at det virker" og så vil vi gerne betale lidt for det. Eller kan GEN parkere HBCD38 i kælderen ?

@lahn1 we are only talking development costs now so far; once JNJ triggers the option to co-develop, they will start sharing the cost. And that is when i gets expensive, think of the large trials they have been doing with Dara

Det er også en "get-out of jail" aftale idet at hvis JNJ ikke vil udnytte optionen (og midlet virker" er Genmab frit stillet til selv at markedsføre

Som jeg læser teksten er de langt. De har gode prekliniske data og som de skriver could be superior to daratumumab for certain tumor cell types. Måske ikke langt fra at de er klar til næste skridt.

Enig Bulder, det er vel ret beset også det Ritzau skriver "Baseret på data fra Genmabs studier, kan Janssen så vælge at udnytte sin option på at udvikle, fremstille og markedsføre Hexabody-CD38. Sker det, vil Janssen betale Genmab 150 mio. dollar, eller knap 1 mia. kr., for at udnytte optionen."

Ja, de overtager (udvikling OG omkostninger): "Based on the data from these studies, Janssen may exercise its option and receive a worldwide license to develop, manufacture and commercialize HexaBody-CD38." Sådan må man læse det.

Har vi hørt om hexabody cd38 før? Jeg synes ikke at kunne finde nogen IND/CTA undervejs?

There is not that much cd38 on solid tumors. The reason why dara was thought to be effective in solids was that it could strengthen the efficacy of a PD(L)-1 inhibitor by blocking cd38. I don't know if a boosted cd38 would be of any help here. But I think we need Sukkeralf on this subject.

If I remember correctly Jans first thoughts of new INDs for 2019 was 3-5 and recently it was 3 (and we know them all) but maybe HexaCD38 could have been close so I hope it will be a 2020 IND
