Genmab — November 2017

Flash Nordea "At the SITC conference last week (8-12 November) in National Harbor, Maryland, JnJ showcased its own CD38 preclinical data in lung cancer (NSCLC) as well as early data for its in-house developed anti-PD-1 antibody JNJ-283. We find the data and presentations highly interesting in a Genmab context. First of all, with regards to the CD38 preclinical data in NSCLC, it is, to our knowledge, the first time we see JnJ’s in-house early data for CD38 in solid cancers.

We have previously seen data from JnJ explaining the potential effect of Daratumumab (Darzalex – CD38) on the tumour micro-environment, but that has been from trials in multiple myeloma (depletion of T-regulatory and B-regulatory cells). We have also seen data from Chen et al from MD Anderson Cancer Centre at ASCO-SITC back in February 2017 highlighting very intriguing preclinical results in lung cancer tumours when CD38 was combined with PD-L1.
