However, Darzalez’s success in GRIFFIN is nevertheless important in two key respects. The first is that it evaluated the same regimen being tested in PERSEUS, thus increasing the odds of success in the larger study. What’s more, and perhaps more importantly from a near-term perspective, having data in hand supporting the benefit of Darzalex plus VRd could be enough to convince some oncologists to starting using the combination.

“Although results of the ongoing PERSEUS trial will be required to enable approval of the regimen in this setting, data publication and inclusion in treatment guidelines could enable off-label use in the US and should further consolidate Darzalex as an option that should be considered for all first-line patients,” noted Deutsche Bank analyst Richard Parkes.

PERSEUS findings are expected sometime in 2022. Parkes said that adding the ASCT-eligible indication to Darzalex’s label will make up a meaningful portion of his $7.5 billion in projected sales for the drug in 2025, though his assumption of only 20% penetration leaves some room for upside.

Lige netop det med medicinpriserne har han og tidligere præsidenter reelt ikke meget magt over.
