Jan Van de Winkel: There are not many active competitors for dara...
perhaps some of the 'new' checkpoint blockers could turn out to be active in the same
therapeutic area, but we really view dara as a backbone treatment ie a drug that can be an ideal combination partner for other drugs...
as it relates to CAR-T, this is more of a procedure than a traditional medicine.
Potentially more suited to end stage patients in limited numbers of clinical centres.

E L - thats how CAR-T looks like now but a lot of things is going on out there so to me CAR-T is at the moment the biggest threat. I imagine that CAR-T BCMA will get a lot of attention at ASH this year

I see you are starting to change your point of view slowly on this. I share your concern, which is why i try to follow it as well as I can.

I worry that JvdW does not appreciate the effect of CAR-T on Genmab share price; many investors are worried about competition; IF he is right, he should speak out about
it and explain to investors why he thinks it is not a threat.

Why would Celgene want to spend billions on a collaboration with Bluebird? Why would Novartis do the same with Juno? And why would Gilead buy Kite for 11.9 billion USD? One of them might be stupid, but not all 3!

well i am not sure on your last sentence ;-D ; many billions have been wasted in Biotech before... But I agree that it is sufficient reason for co
ncern!

I wont trust JvDW on this matter - its for us to find out. JvDW will never talk positive about a true competitor to Genmab - its not hes stile and maybe not his job

Som jeg forstår det er Car-T en meget hård omgang og ikke alle kan tåle det.

Og det ser også ud til at de kommer bliver bedre til at styre bivirkningerne i CAR-T. Men derfra og til at se dem som konkurrent . ?. Det er vel nærmere et alternativ. !

Enig royal. Det er den negative side. Men på den positive side, skal så nævnes, at det er en behandling, og så er du kureret!

royal det er det i dag, men teknologien er jo helt ny og vi har kun set toppen af hvad den kan performe - der arbejdes jo hårdt på at gøre det billigere og uden de fatale bivirkninger. Det sker selvfølgelig ikke i morgen med i takt med at flere CAR-T terapier godkendes kommer de rnaturligvis flere og flere steder den tilbydes

GB - det ved vi jo ikke helt endnu. Vi kender jo ikke meget til langtidseffekten af CAR-T og slet ikke i MM
