Genmab accelerates research efforts
Genmab will need to identify its next winning ticket in the coming three to four years, and its CEO is fully convinced that the drug is already hiding in the biotech company’s pipeline. The firm is now increasing its R&D budget in a bid to identify the winner.

@Helge (og andre), læste den forholdsvis komplekse forklaring på PD-1/PD-L1 virkningsmekanismen, og kunne se det beskrevet ift forsøg, at det forventes også at kunne ramme metastaser i hjernen. Som jeg forstår det ift PD-1, sker påvirkningen i nærmiljøet omkring kræftcellerne ved at hæmme PD-1. Det må betyde, at PD-1 hæmmere skal passere BBB (Blood-Brain-Barrier) for at påvirke metastaser i hjernen. Det ser ud til, at T-lymfocytter godt kan passere BBB, men jeg mangler lidt viden om Daras

DevOp..Jeg opfatter det som om at den immunmodulerende virkning er generel i kroppen og lymfocytterne kan som du skriver passere BBB. Det er dog kun et gæt fra min side. Tjekker op på det senere i dag, hvis jeg får tiden til det.
