"Bedford said he believes that to be the case because J&J has been more selective, and more focused on growth than on just making acquisitions to increase scale or near-term financial reasons, such as tax benefits.
Therefore, he expects “capital deployment to be a dominant topic” on J&J’s post-earnings conference call, as he anticipates more activity by year end.
