Hvor blev nyhederne af, Bavarian?

Africa CDC fortsætter med sine ugentlige briefinger hver torsdag.
Torsdag den 2/10 blev der igen offentliggjort en opdatering over leverede mpox-vacciner.
Som nogle måske husker, havde UNICEF i foråret 500.000 doser liggende hos Bavarian Nordic, men manglede 32 millioner USD i finansiering for at få dem frigivet.
Jeg har tidligere nævnt, at antallet af UNICEF-vacciner hos Bavarian Nordic tilsyneladende er faldet over de seneste måneder - uden at der er kommet nogen officiel udmelding. Africa CDC har også virket mindre transparent i deres præsentationer end før, men ind i mellem dukker en slide op.
Tidligere ville ethvert salg af mpox-vacciner til UNICEF - eller enhver "donation" have udløst en pressemeddelelse fra Bavarian Nordic. Det ville have været en stor nyhed.
Men det, der kunne være fremragende PR for Bavarian Nordic, foregår nu i larmende tavshed.
Man kunne næsten få den tanke, at det er helt bevidst - intet må tilsyneladende påvirke aktiekursen i positiv retning.
Som det fremgår af en slide fra briefingen 2/10, som jeg vil forsøge at uploade nedenfor, blev der i september (runde 7) leveret i alt 150.000 vacciner fra Bavarian Nordic - og ifølge tallene ser det ud til, at der nu kun er 68.000 doser tilbage af de oprindelige 500.000 UNICEF-vacciner.

Cupcake - Fantastiske godt set. Det er helt uacceptabelt at de muligvis ikke overholder meldepligten. Lad os nu se hvad der sker de kommende timer men jeg er begyndt at tænke over hvordan dette kan bruges til noget positivt for os.

Vedrørende denne slide ved minute 24:00, siges der bl.a.:
Citat "Now we move from a time if you remember some few months ago we were having zero dose of vaccine. So now uh we we do speak now 485,000 doses are available available. Yes. But it's important to highlight that 266,000 are still at at the manufacturer and they require some fund to be bought by UNICEF. So they are there in case we need in case we have the fund we they can be made available. On the other side, we have 200,000 that were donated either by the manufacturer MVABN or by UNICEF and then some countries have been considered. "

Der er INGEN separat slide med en oversigt over vacciner fra briefingen for 4 uger siden, nemlig torsdag d. 18/9 2025.
Der er dog en slide "Mpox Summary", hvor der nederst under "Key Highlights" står at "Over 200.000 vaccine doses will be allocated to affected countries, demonstrating increased global solidarity." (ved minute 31:21:00)
OG ikke mindst....
Under Q/A ved 37:28 siges fortælles der, hvor disse vacciner kommer fra:
"Now the issue the question that has been raised on the vaccine availability whether it will reduce the vaccine a availability I just mentioned that uh we are receiving 200,000 212,000 dose of vaccine 100.000 thousand of them will come from Bavarian Nordic and 112,000 will be coming from UNICEF which mean that the mobilization of vaccine will continue the global solidarity will continue. So it's a strong message that we want to carry saying that we don't want to repeat the same mistake that we had in 2023 when the PFEIC were was lifted while the case were continuing in the continent. "

JULI 2025 : Sidste gang, de 500.000 vacciner og manglende funding omtales er i JULI i år:
"UNICEF needs US $33 million to purchase 500,000 Mpox vaccines for distribution. "Vaccines are available with manufacturers, but funding to acquire them is a problem. That's what we are missing," says a healthcare official."

Siden JULI i sommers har der ikke længere været nævnt noget om 500.000 vacciner hos Bavarian Nordic, der manglede funding...
Men vacciner er sidenhen i de efterfølgende måneder løbende blevet leveret / doneret til Afrika, jf. slides på Afrika briefing ovenfor.
Og lageret hos Bavarian Nordic synes at skrumpe ind...
Jeg har spurgt og rykket Bavarian Nordic for en forklaring, men har ikke modtaget svar. De har jo været "lukket ned" pga. lækkage / overtagelsesforsøg.
Jeg har HVER gang (forgæves) stillet spørgsmål skriftligt til Africa CDC briefinger om Bavarian Nordics vacciner.

PS .... Local manufacturing af Mpox nævnes som "work in progress" i en sidebemærkning med 3-4 mio. vacciner.
Q - 53:01 - "What is the current status of vaccine access and availability for Mpox in Africa and are there any plans for continentwide procurements similar to the COVID 19 model."
A - 56:06 - ....... "How can we actually prevent the population? How can we increase the immunization of those communities? And that will lead to the the question that you you were also asking of the sustainability and the the availability of the vaccine. And then now we move to our local manufacturing agenda. Knowing the dose of vaccine that will be needed for the continent especially in any countries that will provide a significant information on the demand of vaccine that are needed. We need three to four million of vaccine those need to move the tech transfer and to have the local manufacturer and once we have that the vaccine will be available in our environment. So this is a work that is in progress and this is what has been discussed during the interaction review so that we have on one side strategy but also the other side the demand. "

I seneste briefing er der ikke foretaget ændring i antal vaccine delivered på slides.
