Continued Good Tolerability of NEX-22 at 30 mg Dose of Liraglutide in the NEX-22 Study - Nanexa AB
Nanexa AB announces that initial observations in the phase I study show that the 30 mg dose of NEX-22, a depot formulation of liraglutide, has been well tolerated by patients with type 2 diabetes who have not previously received GLP-1 treatment.

I løbet af de næste dage, nær 1/5 følge tidligere rapportering, vil alle patienter have haft sidste besøg på klinikken. Dette medfører sandsynligvis en meddelelse om, studiet er afsluttet succesfuldt.
Herefter skal de sidste blodprøver analyseres, hvilket betyder endelige resultater annonceres omtrent et par uger senere (medio maj).

Nanexa announces that the results from the recently completed Phase I-study with NEX-22 have been approved as a Late Breaking Abstract at the prestigious ADA Congress (American Diabetes Association) held in Chicago June 20-23.
The abstract presents results from the Phase I-study with NEX-22, developed in collaboration with the renowned CRO Profil in Germany, specializing in diabetes research.
NEX-22 is Nanexa´s PharmaShell based one-month depot of the GLP-1 substance liraglutide, intended for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Liraglutide is currently administrated as a daily injection. NEX-22 is expected to simplify treatment and thereby increase adherence.

Denne uge: Alle patienter gennemfører deres sidste besøg i klinikken i 30 mg dosisgruppen.
Sidste uge i maj: De fulde resultater fra 30 mg dosisgruppen præsenteres, hvilke viser at den farmakokinetiske profil understøtter en måneds depot af liraglutid med dosislinearitet for både Cmax, AUC og depotlængde, få bivirkninger, herunder ingen tilfælde af kvalme eller opkastning, og ingen eller minimale lokale reaktioner.
1/6: Alle elementer i Novo Nordisks evaluering af Pharmashell-teknologien afsluttes som planlagt med tilfredsstillende resultater. Novo Nordisk anvender deres option til at begynde at forhandle en eksklusiv licens inden for en forud aftalt tidsramme i henhold til evalueringsaftalen - denne potentielle udvikling vil ikke blive kommunikeret til markedet ifølge Nanexas CEO i den seneste præsentation.
1/8: Da virksomhederne på nuværende tidspunkt er godt bekendte med hinanden efter 2½ års samarbejde, og Ascendis-aftalen er stærk præcedens, indgås der hurtigt en aftale, som vil omfatte NEX-22.
