Portland, 23 December 2023Vestas has received a 945 MW order to power an undisclosed wind project in the USA. The order consists of 210 V163-4.5 MW turbines, Vestas' newest high-capacity wind turbine.
The order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset.
Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 with commissioning scheduled in the second quarter of 2027.

Vestas wins 254 MW order in Australia

Melbourne, 26 December 2023Vestas has received a 254 MW order to power an undisclosed wind project in Australia. The order consists of 41 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines from the EnVentus platform.
Vestas will also deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the turbines, as well as a 30-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to optimise the performance of the assets.
Delivery of Vestas' wind turbines is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2024, with commissioning to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The project and customer names are undisclosed.

Vestas har for alvor fået gang i ordreindgangen på markedet i USA, hvor vindmølleproducenten derfor kan se frem til et markant forøget aktivitetsomfang i årene fremover.
Ifølge aktieanalysechef Jacob Pedersen fra Sydbank er der startet en sand ordrefest, som vil hjælpe vindmølleproducenten med en kraftig indtjeningsforbedring næste år - og yderligere i 2025.
- Det er en fest, som er skudt i gang, og jeg tror ikke, at det er en fest, som stopper, siger Jacob Pedersen, der godt kan forstå, at Vestas-aktien onsdag efter juleferien fortsætter opturen og ved 10.15-tiden kan notere et plus på 6,2 pct. til 213,45 kr.
Fredag annoncerede Vestas en stribe store ordrer, herunder tre i USA på samlet 1597 megawatt, og det blev lørdag suppleret op med en yderligere aftale på hele 945 megawatt.
Det er den attraktive ordning Inflation Reduction Act, som nu for alvor har åbnet for ordresluserne i USA. Det skete efter, at skattemyndighederne tidligere i år kom med specifikationer af, hvordan vindparkudviklerne kunne få adgang til de lukrative tilskudsordninger.
- Inflations Reduction Act skubber det her marked meget kraftigt i gang - det er det, vi ser nu. Nu er der ikke bare en sol, som ligger bag skyerne, nu kan vi rent faktisk se solen i form af de ordrer, der kommer i bøgerne, siger Jacob Pedersen til MarketWire.
Han noterer, at Vestas i fjerde kvartal har leveret en ordreindgang i USA på over 3200 megawatt, hvilket er rekord for selskabet i en enkelt kvartal på det amerikanske marked.
Den hidtidige rekord var ifølge analytikerens opgørelse på 2303 megawatt, hvilket var i andet kvartal 2019. Han påpeger dog samtidig, at ordreindgangen er ujævn kvartalerne imellem, og at man ikke skal regne med, at niveauet i fjerde kvartal vil fortsætte på samme høje niveau i de efterfølgende kvartaler.

Men vi skal forvente, at det amerikanske marked for Vestas, hvis ikke Donald Trump kommer ind og på en eller anden måde får det ødelagt, bliver exceptionelt godt. Og det er ikke bare i et, to eller tre år - det er i mange år frem i tiden.

Sammen med justeringer af møllepriserne ventes ordrerne at give Vestas gode muligheder for at forsætte den indtjeningsmæssige genrejsning. Målet for Vestas har hele tiden været en overskudsgrad i 2025 på 10 pct.

Vestas secures 1,089 MW order with Pattern Energy in the USA - largest single onshore project to date globally

Portland, 27 December 2023Vestas has secured a firm order from Pattern Energy to power a major portion of its SunZia Wind project in New Mexico, USA, as disclosed in Company Announcement no. 20/2023 of 27 December 2023. It is Vestas' largest order to date in the U.S. market and the largest single onshore project globally. Consisting of 242 V163-4.5 MW turbines, the 1.1 GW order is also the largest order globally for Vestas' newest high-capacity factor turbine.
The order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset.

Vestas' first onshore order of more than 1 GW in the U.S. market follows its recent commitment to invest USD 40 million in its domestic footprint to manufacture the V163-4.5 MW turbine. Activities are nearing completion to expand its two Colorado factories that includes building expansions and production equipment as well as hiring up to 1,000 local employees.

Vindmølleproducenten Vestas har sikret sig endnu en enorm ordre til det amerikanske marked.
Selskabet skal levere 242 V163-4,5 MW-møller til Pattern Energy, der opfører det såkaldte SunZia-projekt i New Mexico.
Ordren er dermed på samlet 1089 megawatt (MW), hvilket gør det til den største bestilling på landmøller i USA, som Vestas nogensinde har modtaget.
Der er samtidig tale om verdens største enkeltstående projekt med vindmøller til lands og Vestas' største ordre på den mølletype nogensinde i hele verden.

Vestas sells 656 MW wind portfolio in Italy to PLT Energia

Vestas wins 42 MW repowering project in former mining area in Germany

Hamburg, 29 December 2023Vestas has received a firm order from WindStrom Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co.KG for the Schacht Konrad II repowering project in Salzgitter, Lower Saxony. The project is located in a former iron ore mining area that is intended to be reused for renewable energy production.
The order consists of four V162-6.2 MW and three V162-5.6 MW wind turbines and will replace the legacy turbines currently powering the site, which will increase the energy output and extend the lifetime of the project site. Upon completion, Vestas will service the turbines under a 20-years Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement designed to ensure optimised performance of the assets.

"We built and commissioned the first wind turbine in the Schacht Konrad wind farm in 2000. Now, with the repowering, the second generation of wind turbines is being erected in this area, which will supply renewable electricity over the coming decades with a 4 to 5-fold increase in output," says Christoph Schramke, managing director at WindStrom Erneuerbare Energien. "Thanks to the reliable and uncomplicated co-operation with the immission control authority of the city of Salzgitter, it was possible to obtain approval for this project within eight months. The trusting and cooperative relationship with the landowners, which has existed for 20 years, also contributed significantly to the success of the project. Finally, we have a long-standing, reliable relationship with Vestas with which we can now realise the next generation of turbines."
Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025 with commissioning scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2025.

Vestas annoncerer fredagens fjerde faste ordre

Vestas har fredag annonceret fire faste og ubetingede vindmøllekontrakter.
Kørt før børslukketid fredag har selskabet leveret et ordrehattrick med en sydafrikansk kontrakt på 63 megawatt, en spansk på 37 megawatt og en tysk på 42 megawatt.
Tidligere på dagen annoncerede selskabet også en aftale på 47 megawatt i Nordirland.
Derudover har Vestas også annonceret, at det er blevet valgt som foretrukken leverandør af 390 megawatt til et havmølleprojekt i Sydkorea.
Men den aftale er endnu ikke fast og ubetinget, og kan derfor endnu ikke lægges ind i ordrebogen.
Hidtil i år har Vestas annonceret 16.656 megawatt i faste og ubetingede ordrer.
