CANTARGIA: REDEYE FÖRDUBBLAR RIKTVÄRDET I UPPDRAGSANALYS

STOCKHOLM (Nyhetsbyrån Direkt) Redeye mer än fördubblar sitt riktvärde i basscenariot, i en uppdragsanalys, för forskningsbolaget Cantargia till 21 kronor från tidigare 10 kronor.Det framgår av en analys på måndagen.
Kombinationsarmarna i Canfour-studien, som nu pågår i fas 2a, är det som Redeye sätter högst förhoppningar till. Bedömningen är att säkerhets- och tolererbarhetsdata som väntas presenteras under året även kan innehålla signaler om effekt.
Studien, som undersöker läkemedelskandidaten Can04 vid behandling av icke småcellig lungcancer och bukspottkörtelcancer, har enligt Redeye bättre sannolikhet för att lyckas än ett genomsnittsprojekt inom cancer.
Med en stängningskurs på fredagen vid 13:80 kronor ger riktvärdet i basscenariot en kurspotential på drygt 50 procent.
Redeye ser i sitt positiva scenario ett riktvärde på 44 kronor, vilket baserar sig på positiva resultat i fas 2a från en av de två cancerindikationerna i Canfour-studien. Analyshusets pessimistiska scenario har ett riktvärde på 6 kronor. Detta scenario baserar sig på studieresultat som inte motiverar vidare utveckling.

Cantargia presents novel preclinical data on antibody CAN04 at PEGS Europe conferenceCantargia AB today announce that new preclinical data on the antibody CAN04 is presented at the 11th annual PEGS (Protein & Antibody Engineering Summit) Europe conference, Nov 18-22 in Lisbon, Portugal. CAN04 is in clinical development for cancer and is designed to enhance immune-mediated tumor cell killing. The new results show that similar design applied to CAN04 surrogate antibodies enhance antitumor effects in experimental cancer models and further support for the strategy chosen.
Cantargia develops antibody-based pharmaceuticals against interleukin-1 receptor accessory protein (IL1RAP). The antibody CAN04 binds IL1RAP with high affinity and functions through both Antibody-Dependent Cellular Cytotoxicity (ADCC) and blockade of interleukin 1 signaling. CAN04 is investigated in an open label three-armed phase I/IIa clinical trial, CANFOUR. Two arms investigate safety and efficacy of CAN04 in combination with two different first line chemotherapy regimes in patients with non-small cell lung cancer or pancreatic cancer (NCT03267316, www.clinicaltrials.gov). A third arm investigates safety and biomarkers of CAN04 monotherapy in patients with late stage disease. One additional trial, investigating CAN04 with an immune checkpoint inhibitor is planned to start early 2020.
Cantargia has previously presented anti-tumour effects in mice using surrogate antibodies of CAN04. So far, these data have been generated using non-modified antibody constructs. CAN04 is however an ADCC-enhanced antibody lacking fucose produced by the Potelligent
technology. The new results show that similar modifications can be introduced in mouse surrogate antibodies. Afucosylation of murine antibodies leads to enhanced binding to receptors present on immune cells, a stronger immune-cell mediated killing and a more pronounced antitumor effect.The PEGS conference is a key annual conference around novel antibody designs and strategies for development. STOCKHOLM (Nyhetsbyrån Direkt) Cantargia meddelar att de första interimsresultaten i den pågående fas 2a-studen Canfour visar att genom att addera antikroppen CAN04 är responsfrekvensen högre än historiska data där enbart standardcellgifter använts.Det framgår av ett pressmeddelande.
Fyra av sju utvärderbara patienter med metastaserande bukspottskörtelcancer, och två av tre patienter med metastaserande icke-småcellig lungcancer hade objektiv respons. Inga större biverkningar observerades förutom de som förväntas med cellgifter eller CAN04, skriver Cantargia i pressmeddelandet.
Slutförandet av rekryteringen förväntas tidigt under andra kvartalet 2020 för bukspottskörtelcancer och tidigt under tredje kvartalet 2020 för icke-småcellig lungcancer.
Denna tidiga analys av säkerhet och effekt hos patienter med metastatisk cancer är verkligen spännande. Responsfrekvensen är högre än historiska data och inkluderar en patient med fullständig respons. Detta är i linje med hypotesen att CAN04 kan vara synergistisk med cellgifter och motverka cellgiftsresistens, kommenterar Cantargias vd Göran Forsberg.
Rekryteringen inom bukspottskörtelcancer följer i huvudsak den kommunicerade tidsplanen. Däremot har rekryteringen inom icke-småcellig lungcancer varit något långsammare, och därför initieras ytterligare kliniker i Estland, Lettland, Litauen och Spanien, skriver bolaget.
