Over to you....

Hey Pete,
I wish you wouldn't get personal. I don't see the reason to attack me because my opinion is different to yours. I will reply to your post, but after that I will just stick to trading posts. Life is too short to bicker and bitch on a bulletin board. I post here on request of Helge who attended a workshop I held and I was very happy to do so.
So where do I start?
ETX PRICES:
I think their prices are great, and very competitive with the futures market. Besides I can trade an odd size, which you can't in the futures market. Minimum size in DAX futures is 25 euros, but with ETX you can trade in your own currency, Danish Kroners for example, and you can trade "en krone per point" if you want to do that. It is a great way to learn to trade, in a trading size that suits you.
ETX Education:
ETX has hired me to their Danish and English education. I like to teach. I didn't join this board to promote them. You brought it up. I was asked by Helge if I wanted to contribute.
Origin of the Financial Crisis
That is like opening a can of worms. I don't agree with you and I don't disagree with you. All trading decisions and strategies surely are set at a board level, and this is what brought down AIG and Lehman. Read the "Big Short" by Michael Lewis for a great read about the crisis.
My leverage
My leverage is not higher or lower than anyone else. I trade with the same constraints that everybody else has. My performance is a function of luck and preparation and long hours in front of the screen and a lot of practise.
"I should run a fund".
Pete, I do trade on behalf of a fund with other traders. I trade for myself too. I trade when I want and how I want.
A-book and B-book
I know a fair deal about A books and B books, because I was in the industry when CMC markets was rumoured to run positions against clients. Pete, if I trade with say Saxo, do you think they go out in the market and hedge everything I do? The odds are high that they don't. Some trades they will, and some they won't. Some will be offset against other traders positions, and some will be "me vs broker". Do I care? NOPE. I am trading with the market and whatever my broker does with my position is really up to him. Did ETX hedge my Twitter position? Maybe - maybe not. Do I care? Not at all. I can see the live price of Twitter on my Bloomberg, and it is the same price on ETX (with a Spread wrapped around it - as they don't charge commission). No broker manipulates prices against their clients. It would be suicide to do that.
Am I unprofessional because I trade with them? I don't just trade with them. I trade with IB too, but I prefer ETX because of the speed of execution, especially when I am scalping Dow. I can trade the Dow in 1 point Spread, and although I can trade Dow E-mini with half point Spread in the open market, I don't pay commission with ETX, and I don't have liquidity issues with my size. So it is a win - win for me. Do I care what they do with my position? Why should I? They don't decide what the outcome of my trade is. The market does that.
With respect to news: I respect your view. I have a different view. News doesn't move the market. Traders' reaction to the news moves the market. I have witnessed market fall on good news and rally on bad news. Every day is a new day.
Happy Sunday

Well Tom ,
its nice you write in english so i will do the same, why did you not tell people you worked for ETX, and their prices still suck...... they are wide and can be found lots better in the market place, not with me as i only do institutional clients, money managers and HNW. For a day trader pricing is highly important as trade frequency is high, and here ETX gets disqualified especially in currencies.
B booking is not done on a per trade basis, but on client basis based on KYC and client depo size........
So you trade a fund interesting, which one, as this will verify your results
-
Yeah, more comfortable writing in English... been away for 23 year.... Danish a little rusty...
I trade HNW.. private funds
I "worked" for Saxo in 2009, did their trade mentor.. now done the same for ETX....creating educational content....
I like their prices.... Best around... but hey.... Each to their own....Pete, what firm do you run? You talk about robots as if clients could pick their own returns?

Hej Kamstrup

Bla. for Flowtrader. Jeg starter derfor en ny op.
Med venlig hilsen
Helge
