We'll meet again! Baltic LPG 1 index for the route Ras Tanura(Saudi Arabia) to Chiba (Japan) is mirroring the situation last year when we had a big slump at the start of the year and then a rally back to normal levels as illustrated by Gibson. -
The $10.571 per metric ton(pmt) jump in freight on Feb 20th was the 8th largest ever and in the current trading streak we have 3 out of the 20th largest jump in freight with BLPG1 index now recovered to ~$75pmt which equates to Time Charter Equivalent (TCE) earnings of $54,000/day.

You should however Go West as there is a big premium for cargoes West of Suez (AG) compared to East of Suez (USGC), currently around $17.5pmt when adjusting for voyage distance, Panama costs etc

I begynnelsen av februar var det krise i LPG-markedet med VLGC-rater helt nede i 8.500 dollar dagen etter at spotratene var oppe i over 140.000 dollar dagen i september i fjor.
