Johnson & Johnsons resultater med Amivantamab i hoved- og halskræft blev fremlagt på den europæiske kræftkonference, Esmo. I den forbindelse oplyste Genmab-partneren desuden, at det vil indlede yderligere fase 3-studier af Amivantamab i hoved- og halskræft blandt andet som førstebehandling i kombination med kræftmidlet Keytruda.

Petosemtamab er allerede i fase 3 over for netop hoved- og halskræft. Merus er færd med to fase 3-studier i kræftformen som henholdsvis førstebehandling og anden/tredjebehandling. Resultater fra et eller måske begge fase 3-studier ventes næste år.

Good move by Genmab to proceed this fast with the tender offer, confirming they have no doubts about their offer. After all, very theoretically, Genmab could decide NOT to pursue the transaction if they felt they had done something really really stupid. It would cost them over $400 million in termination fees -and their reputation- but in theory i guess it is possible...

And we should not forget that Genmab was not the only bidder; there was (at least) 1 party interested in partnering Peto, and there were (at least?) 2 parties bidding at a price very close to the $97 Genmab ended up paying... and these had done the same due diligence
