Oljeprisen går mot femte måned på rad med oppgang

Ett fat nordsjøolje (Brent, spot) koster 46,06 dollar mandag morgen. Prisen har steget 0,44 prosent siden midnatt.
Brent, som brukes som en referanse for oljehandel globalt, går mot oppgang for femte måned på rad. -
Oljemarkedene ristet stort sett av seg orkanen Laura fredag, samtidig som energiselskaper fortsatte å gjenopprette produksjonen ved plattformer og raffinerier på Gulfkysten som ble stengt ned før stormen.
Høyere olje- og gasspriser bidrar til at amerikanske produsenter begynner å bore igjen. Den ukentlige riggtellingen fra Baker Hughes viste at antallet aktive amerikanske oljerigger økte med tre til 254 i august, skriver Reuters. -

US inflation expectations have started to accelerate after Fed Chair Powell’s historic inflation speech at Jackson Hole. Have jumped to the highest level since 2019 on a combination of fiscal stimulus and a Fed willing to aim for (not just tolerate) inflation overshoots. -
