Palma company preparing clinical trials of Covid-19 inhibitor
Laminar Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company based at ParcBit in Palma and in Massachusetts, is preparing a clinical study to treat Covid-19. Pablo Escribá, professor of biology at the University of the Balearic Islands and founder of Laminar, says that the study could begin in a few months. It will be into molecules that inhibit fusion of the virus membrane.

Ovenstående link til Gileads lille 53 pts studie er der linket til flere gange. Det giver et vist håb. Men vi afventer nu 2 større kinesiske fase 3 studier med kontrolgruppe. Read out meget snart. Og 2 endnu større Gilead studier. Read out i næste md.

Ser ud til at det ene kinesiske studie (svær covid19) er stoppet: A Chinese trial of Gilead Sciences Inc.’s antiviral drug remdesivir was stopped after failing to enrol enough patients with severe symptoms, the company’s Chief Executive Officer Daniel O’Day wrote in an open letter dated April 10.
China previously said it would announce the results of two remdesivir trials for patients with mild to severe symptoms on April 27.

The discontinuation of the severe patient trial came as the number of cases dropped in China. “The publication of data from the China remdesivir trials rests with the Chinese investigators, but we have been informed that the study in patients with severe symptoms was stopped due to stalled enrollment,” O’Day said

i fase 1, der tester man raske forsøgspersoner med bivirkninger, ikke sandt? Og klorokin har vel været gennem fase 1....?! Er det så ikke - i sig selv - muligt at tage, uden større bivirkninger end oprindeligt (forudsat man ikke tager anden medicin osv)
