The U.S. National Debt now exceeds $22.9 trillion, up close to $3 trillion since Trump took office. My guess is that after 3 full years in office the national debt will have risen by $3.5 trillion, and that by the end of Trump's term it will have risen by well over $5 Trillion. -

Resultatsesongen er, i tillegg til handelskrigen og brexit, i fokus for investorer.
I løpet av helgen sa den kinesiske visepresidenten at USA og Kina har gjort «betydelige fremskritt» knyttet til handel, og at partene jobber for møte hverandres ønsker, ifølge CNBC.
Den såkalte «fase 1» av avtalen mellom USA og Kina ble inngått forrige uke, og det er nå forhandlinger om «fase 2», som pågår. -
Samme helg bestemte det britiske parlamentet seg for å utsette avstemningen om en brexitavtale, og statsminister Boris Johnson måtte dermed motvillig be EU om nok en utsettelse av brexit. Mandag ble avstemningen om avtalen utsatt nok en gang i Parlamentet.
Ellers er det klart for nye resultater på Wall Street i løpet av denne uken, etter en sterk start på sesongen. Fem prosent av Wall Street-selskapene har rapportert tall så langt, og 82 prosent av disse har levert bedre enn forventet. -
