PayPal ude med stærkt regnskab

Indtægterne i PayPal steg 19% til $2.54 milliarder mod et forventet resultat på $2.5 milliarder. Earnings per share steg 28% til 37 cents, som er 2 cents over det forventede resultat. "In many ways this was our best quarter since I joined PayPal," CEO Dan Schulman.
I juli 2015 blev der lavet et spinoff fra eBay, som nu betyder at de to fungerer som to forskellige selskaber. PayPal skal derfor nu bevise at de kan klare sig alene uden eBay på sidelinjen.
"PayPal processed $81 billion in total payment volume during the first quarter, an increase of 31% excluding the effects of foreign exchange rates. Mobile volume grew 54% to $21 billion. Social payment application Venmo handled $3.2 billion in payments, an increase of 154%."
"PayPal ended the quarter with $6.4 billion in cash, giving the company ample resources to repurchase shares or acquire new businesses."
