I 2023 offentliggjorde Novo Nordisk resultater fra OASIS 1-studiet, hvor de testede 50 mg oral semaglutid dagligt (meget højere end de 14 mg i Rybelsus) på personer med overvægt uden diabetes:
Gennemsnitligt vægttab: ca. 15% af kropsvægten på 68 uger.
Det svarer til næsten det samme som Wegovy-injektioner.
Mange deltagere tabte over 20% af kropsvægten.
