Hvordan bliver beta beregnet?

F.eks. står der, at carlsberg har et beta på 1,22. Hvordan er man kommet frem til dette tal?
Og til værdiansættelse af en virksomhed med DCF-metoden, kan man direkte bruge dette beta i sin return on equity formel? (som siden indgår i kapitalomkostningen/wacc)
