For lige at forviere lidt, så er 14mg dosis udgået nu. Den er erstattet af en ny pille med højere bioavailability. Et fancy ord for at novo har lavet en ny forbedret version, hvor mere af selve medicinen kan optages i kroppen. Dermed skal der en mindre dosis til for at opnå samme resultat

We now get a glimpse of the prices. About 10% lower than Ozempic/Wegovy.
I don’t think 10% lower prices will move that much. But understandable when semaglutide patent doesn’t expire until marts 26. When that happens I expect the prices to drop minimum 50%.
I also expect to see somewhat similar move from NVO in Canada and China.·

$NVO ’s partnership with Brazilian drugmaker Eurofarma was announced a few days ago, and it’s already reshaping the landscape for diabetes and obesity treatments in Brazil.Starting in October, Novo will launch two new locally produced versions of semaglutide, Poviztra and Extensior, distributed by Eurofarma. The goal: make the drug more accessible by cutting prices up to 10% lower than Ozempic and Wegovy through local manufacturing and reduced logistics and tax costs.

The partnership is also strategic. Novo faces growing competition from $LLY ’s Mounjaro and cheaper local versions from EMS, while the company’s global market cap has fallen sharply amid pricing and counterfeit challenges.
By teaming up with Eurofarma, Novo Nordisk hopes to strengthen its foothold in one of Latin America’s fastest-growing markets for metabolic and weight-loss drugs.

Der er kun indirekte data:Observatoriske studier viser, at GLP-1-klassen (inkl. Lillys dulaglutide) reducerer demensrisiko med 15-40% hos diabetespatienter (f.eks. en januar 2025-studie fra Washington University).
