@Worktrader Enig, det lyder som en god strategi. Jeg har bare ikke flere frie midler lige nu til at fylde op med - så hvis jeg skal udnytte dips, skal jeg sælge en klump på toppen. Det er jeg så bare blevet meget påpasselig med for tiden, så jeg gik også glip af muligheden her til morgen...

Tror @CSørensen har linket til/ omtalt før, men har selv først fået lyttet til hele udsendelsen nu. Der er godt nok MEGEN forbehold hos panelet om BAVAs vaccine... Manglende dokumention om effektivitet bliver hamret hjem igen og igen. Nok en gang: god som baggrunds-"radio" for de, der ikke kan få nok.

@Cupcake 11:54 Har ikke selv hørt hele udsendelsen, men skal måske gøre det. Ærgerligt, at BAVA ikke har testet efficacy i Afrika. Men jeg forstår det sådan, at der arbejdes intenst på at indsamle data, og at man forventer en virkningsgrad på ca. 85 % baseret på erfaringer med almindelig koppevirus - har I også forstået det sådan?

Bavarian’s monkeypox vaccine is a non-replicating live virus vaccine; it uses a modified version of a virus of the same family as monkeypox to train the immune system to fight monkeypox and smallpox infections. It represents an advance over earlier smallpox and monkeypox vaccines, such as Emergent Biosolutions ‘ (EBS) ACAM2000, which contains a replicating live virus and carried a number of safety risks.

In a bit of epically bad luck, Bavarian Nordic’s bulk manufacturing facility was shut down for expansion when the monkeypox outbreak hit in the spring. The company has said it expects the factory to reopen it in August, but that it will take another six months for new bulk material to be ready.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported 3,487 monkeypox cases in the U.S. so far. The U.S. has shipped 310,385 Jynneos doses to state public health authorities amid the current outbreak. That comes after a shift in the U.S. strategy announced in late June, which dramatically expanded eligibility for the vaccines.
