Det danske biotekselskab Genmab har valgt at droppe udviklingen af de potentielle cancermiddel Enapotamab Vedotin til behandling af solide tumorer, da udvidede forsøg med forskellige doser af midlet i et studie ikke forbedrede den kliniske effekt i forhold til tidligere test.
Det oplyser Genmab i en meddelelse.
- Således mødte data fra den udvidede kohorte ikke Genmabs stringente kriterier for proof-of-concept, hedder det i meldingen.

En ”kohorte” er den patientgruppe, som deltager i et forsøg.
Genmab vil i stedet omdirigere ressourcerne fra Enapotamab Vedotin til øvrige prioriteter, herunder til de andre af Genmabs næste generation af mulige antistofbehandlinger, oplyses det.

Genmab - First proprietary pipeline kill
Today Genmab announced that it will not advance the development of enapotamab vedotin (EV), citing that the data did not meet its stringent criteria for proof-of-concept. This confirms the company’s strategy to end projects that are not efficacious enough and we believe it will be likely to also scrap DR5/DR5. Genmab’s focus is on progressing already-partnered projects. We reiterate our HOLD but have cut our target price o DKK2,320 (2,352) -
