1. IF they need the cash to buy the shares, they need it today, so they need to sell today

2 they probably agreed to all sell the same way (ie same broker, at same terms)

yes , that is what i think. So it is in the interest of the broker to keep the price as low as they can for as long as they can today to get a low average price

if they are smart they have already taken a short position over the last few days and so make a few extra bucks
