Novo Nordisk today issued the following statement regarding the announcement by Hims & Hers that they will unlawfully mass-market an
unapproved, inauthentic, and untested knockoff semaglutide pill.
"The action by Hims & Hers is illegal mass compounding that poses a significant risk to patient safety.Novo Nordisk will take legal and regulatory action to protect patients, our intellectual property and the integrity of the US gold-standard drug approval framework. This is another example of Hims & Hers'historic behaviour of duping the American public with knock-off GLP-1 products, and the FDA has
previously warned them about their deceptive advertising of GLP-1 knock-offs.The American Diabetes Association
's Obesity Association
recently published new standards of care, which discourage the use of compounded GLP-1s due to safety, quality, and effectiveness concerns.Only Novo Nordisk manufactures an FDA-approved Wegovy
pill formulated with SNAC technology, which facilitates semaglutide absorption when administered orally. The Wegovy pill is available in alldoses, in full supply, nationwide in the US. Compounded semaglutide is not approved by the FDA and may contain impurities, unnecessary additives, and untested doses."

Det er på tide at Novo skiller tingene ad, og fokuserer på kerneforretningen! En P/E på 14 berettiger til at være markedsledende i diabetes, og resten af værdisætningen bliver desværre ikke værdi gjort retfærdigt. Et aktiesplit er det naturlige valg, således at Fonden og NN. fortsat er markedskedende i diabetes behandlingen, og side effekterne af denne forskning og udvikling kan gavne fedme "selskabet" Dermed vil aktionærerne og markedet kunne bedømme resultaterne i forhold til målgruppen, frem for som pt. at skulle vurdere både diabetes og følgesygdomme op imod fedme og følgesygdomme af dette! Som aktionær vil jeg tro, at det ville give en dobbelt op på kort sigt, og mange op på det lange sigt for begge selskaber, dog ikke nødvendigvis ¨på samme tid, hvilket kunne stabilisere OMX.. Blot tanker jeg har rodet med i et års tid.. mvh.

Selv om boykot af medicin og medicinalselskaber er en sjældenhed, kunne man spørge, om en borgerdrevet boykot af Eli Lillys vægttabspræparater som protest mod amerikansk ageren kunne komme på tale i Europa og Canada. Jeg tænker på noget i stil med Teva-boykotten rettet mod Teva Pharmaceutical Industries i forbindelse med Israel.
Når det er sagt, har jeg svært ved at forstå Eli Lillys optimisme i forhold til 2026. Er der tale om amerikansk hovmod - eller forventer de hjælp fra præsidenten?
Synes i øvrigt fortsat, at Novo Nordisks setup er skrøbeligt, når pillen udelukkende produceres på én facilitet i USA, hvis jeg har forstået det rigtigt.
