Shipping freight rate update
LPG: VLGC rates came in at USD109.1k/day, up from USD108.1k/day the day before (numbers out 17:00 CET).
-
Dorian LPG lukkede 1,2% i plus!
De er kommet med en opdatering i dag: https://www.scorpiotankers.com/scorpio-tankers-inc-announces-updates-on-fourth-quarter-2023-daily-tce-revenues-and-debt-and-lease-activity/ "Emanuele Lauro, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented “The product tanker market remains strong, MR rates have led the way and we are seeing an improvement in LR2 rates as winter demand increases
-
and Middle East refinery maintenance concludes."
-

Fearnleys
• VLGC rates back up, super profit remains, and freight markets remain supportive.... -
LGC rates have been on a downwards trend recently, however, yesterday jumped a 10/2% on the AG-East and US-East routes to USD 105k/d and USD 119k/d, respectively. I.e., while they’re down from peak levels north of USD 140k/d, current freight rates are still yielding super profits for equities, which should at least be shown through their P&Ls through 1q24 (due to forward fixing).
-
I.e., with most equities now again pricing below NAV, we continue to fine the equities attractive as earnings risk is likely on the upside with VLGC 1yr TCs at SSD 78k/d and potentially a prolonged period of Panama Canal lowered transits.

"An estimated 4.8 million barrels per day of crude oil and refined petroleum products flowed through this waterway in 2016 towards Europe, the United States and Asia, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration."
